Most clients are very concerned with anesthesia and we are happy to say that……so are we!
This is why we take special care with every anesthetized patient to minimize risk. Your pet gets an exam and appropriate bloodwork before anesthesia is administered.
We also maintain our patients on IV fluids during anesthesia. Your pet is also monitored and vital signs recorded regularly while under anesthesia until fully recovered. We monitor temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation of blood, ECG and blood pressure.
We also believe that a pain free pet heals better and is happier therefore all of our surgical cases get appropriate pain medication both before, during and after the procedure. Feel free to ask a doctor if you have any questions about your pets anesthesia.
